Children and Contact LensesChildren and Contact Lenses

While some children enjoy the fashion statement of spectacles, others prefer their appearance without them. For young children and teens that refuse to wear their spectacles, many parents are left with the plaguing question, “Is my child old enough to wear contact lenses?”

The decision of whether a child is ready to wear contact lenses is directly related to their maturity, and should be determined by the parent, child, and eye care professional.

Contact lenses can be a great alternative to spectacles, and they offer many benefits:

 Freedom to partake in sports without their spectacles being a potential hazard, improving their performance
 Improved hand eye co-ordination whilst participating in sports
 Reducing the risk of being teased because they wear spectacles
 Boosting self-esteem and confidence

Children’s contact lenses are safe and comfortable. Our committed team of experts will recommend the most suitable lenses for your child.

Do you know what to look for in your child’s sight?
