Spectacle Lenses with Myopia Control
Spectacle Lenses with myopia control are special single vision lenses that are worn during the day which provide clear vision whilst slowing down the rate of progression of myopia by 67% on average when worn for 12 hours a day.
We are specialists in the following myopia control spectacle lenses:
Stellest Spectacle Lenses
The Stellest™ lens has been designed with an exclusive and pioneering technology called “H.A.L.T.” technology (Highly Aspherical Lenslet Target) by Essilor’s industry-leading research and development teams. It is the culmination of more than 30 years of academic studies, product design, rigorous research efforts, and collaborating with the top research institutes and myopia experts. The Stellest™ lens provides myopia correction and sharp far vision through a single vision zone and myopia control through H.A.L.T. technology. The H.A.L.T. technology consists of a constellation of aspherical lenslets spread on 11 rings and was designed to create for the first time, a volume of signal that slows down the elongation of the eye. The power on each ring has been ingeniously determined to guarantee a volume of signal always in front of the retina and following its shape, to achieve consistent myopia slowdown.

Process
- INITIAL APPOINTMENT – It all starts with a myopia management consultation and together with your NHS eye test will allow us to assess your child’s suitability for various myopia management options and set benchmarks for success. The consultation involves measuring the length of the eye using non-contact optical interferometry. We then prescribe, consult and dispense the spectacles for your child helping select the correct frame for the lenses.
- FITTING APPOINTMENT – Once the spectacles have been manufactured with all the correct measurements, we will notify you to arrange the collection and fitting of the new spectacles.
- FOLLOW UP AFTER 2 WEEKS – Checking that everything is working correctly. The consultation is usually done as a video call. We will ask a number of questions to assess how your child is performing. If a face-to-face appointment is found to be necessary, we will book you in.
- 6 MONTH CHECK – Every 6 months we like to see your child for a fitting appointment and face-to-face follow-up.
