Eyewear Styling – Finding the Right Shape for You

Eyewear is one of the first things people notice about you. The shape of a frame can influence how you look, how you feel, and the impression you create. It can make a statement, project confidence, add softness, or create a more professional and polished appearance.

At Feltham Eyecare Centre, our team has been trained by the Eyewear Styling Academy to understand how different frame shapes work with your facial features, colouring, personality and lifestyle.

Some of the most popular eyewear shapes include:

• Round & P3 – Classic, creative and intellectual, with softer lines and timeless appeal.
• Rectangle & Square – Structured, confident and professional, creating a stronger, more defined look.
• Cat Eye & Butterfly – Elegant and uplifting shapes that add character and style.
• Aviator & Navigator – Iconic designs that combine classic heritage with modern sophistication.
• Geometric – Bold, artistic and distinctive for those who want their eyewear to stand out.
• Oval – Soft, balanced and versatile, offering a refined and understated appearance.

The right shape can help balance facial features, highlight your best attributes and reflect your personality. During your personalised eyewear styling consultation, we guide you through a discovery process to find frames that not only fit well and provide excellent vision, but also help you look and feel your best.

Because great eyewear isn’t just about seeing clearly. It’s about expressing who you are.

See Well. Look Great. Feel Spectacular.

Choosing the Right Colour for You

Most people choose black, brown or grey frames because they feel safe. However, the right colour can transform your appearance, complement your skin tone, enhance your eyes and reflect your personality.

At Feltham Eyecare Centre, our Eyewear Styling Academy-trained team helps you choose frame colours that work with your skin tone, hair colour, eye colour and wardrobe, creating eyewear that feels uniquely you.

Personalised Eyewear Styling

The best frame colour isn’t always your favourite colour. During your eyewear styling consultation, we help you discover colours that complement your natural features, suit your lifestyle and express your personality.

Whether you prefer subtle elegance or a bold statement, we’ll help you find eyewear that allows you to see well, look great and feel spectacular.

Choosing the Right Frame Material

The material your glasses are made from is just as important as the shape, colour and style. At Feltham Eyecare Centre, we believe in recommending quality eyewear that is comfortable, durable and built to last.

Whilst cheaper frames may appear attractive initially, they are often made from lower-quality materials that can become brittle, lose adjustment, break more easily and require earlier replacement.

Popular Frame Materials

• Titanium – Ultra-lightweight, strong, corrosion-resistant and exceptionally comfortable.
• Stainless Steel – Durable, lightweight and ideal for everyday wear.
• Carbon Fibre – Extremely strong, lightweight and modern in appearance.
• Acetate – Premium plant-based material offering rich colours, patterns and excellent comfort.
• Eco Acetate – A more sustainable version of acetate, reducing environmental impact whilst maintaining quality and style.
• Wood – Unique, natural and environmentally conscious, with every frame having its own character.

Sustainable Eyewear

Sustainability is becoming increasingly important in eyewear, and we actively seek brands that use environmentally responsible materials and manufacturing processes.

Sustainable frame materials help reduce plastic waste, lower environmental impact and support a more responsible future without compromising on quality, comfort or style.

Giving Frames a Second Life

We’re committed to reducing waste wherever possible.

Through our partnership with Bird Eyewear, damaged or unusable frames can be recycled responsibly.

Good-quality frames that are no longer needed are donated through the Lions Clubs International, helping provide eyewear to people in need through eyecare projects and eye camps across Asia and Africa.

By choosing quality eyewear, you’re investing in frames that look better, last longer and are kinder to the environment.
